Why is there no way to update the “Plex for Mac” app WITHIN the app? It seems the only way to update it is to go to the Plex website and check which version is available there…or am I missing something obvious? Hopefully, I am 
The Plex for Mac client should automatically update. Usually when there is an announcement of a new client, I’ll open it for at least two minutes. Then Quit and Relaunch. You’ll usually see a small dialog box that indicates it’s updating. I forget what the exact wording is. So if you launch the client regularly it should auto-update magically!
