Do not think it is a DNS issue. Issue was not here before upgrading to AndroidTV 9 build 2604 on MiBox : new player was working as a charm.
Hope this will be fixed in the next release. Plex guys must be working on it.

Have you checked your client log?
Go under settings then advanced and scroll over to new video player and click disable on your Mi box s Plex application.
That works. Tkx
Are we completely sure that this issue was caused by the latest pie update? In the meantime Plex released a new server version for Windows OS. Unfortunately I can’t test the older windows version as I don’t have its setup installation file.
I do know, though, that the new player was really working with the first official pie for xiaomi mi box s in combination with an older windows server version. Then, I updated both and started getting this issue, which is interesting, since the latest pie update was supposed to fix the bugs of the OG version.
The first update 9 was working perfectly fine with the new app, last night i did the upgrade which was around 690MB or something, this seemed to have a variety of fixes in it. My plex broken then and the error came up.
This issue seem to be with the new update from Mi Tv that is not playing video, they have apparently kinda identified the issue so there should be a fix soon enough. The new player is obviously doing something weird
Can someone from Plex provide an estimate on when they will update the Android Tv up to fix this?
Jesus, how do I send you app logs to help you?
Just attach it here

Get the whole log not only a snippet. Upload as attachment.
And first recreate the issue and then get the logs.
The issue is the one of the threat: “Cant not play the video after updating to Android TV 9 on Mibox S”
Plex Media Server.log (8.0 MB)
Client, not server. I posted the guide on how to obtain it on android tv.
Sorry, I have been looking and I cant find how to get it from mi box, can you please let me know where is the guide?
thanks I will attach it soon.
At least you have no DNS rebind issue. There is an DNS error in the beginning of your log, but that could be due to temporary internet issues. Apart from that I have no clue what is going on, sorry to say.
thanks for taking a look!
I guess I will need to wait for an update on Plex client

Hi,
A few days ago, plex was working by disabling new player… but now, with the latest update 29/04/2020, it stopped working…
Tried all possible settings… i thing that it should be better to reverse the latest version…
