Plex for Music “remembering” playback position

I’m using Plexamp on iOS to playback my music, and there’s a strange quirk where it is setting a starting point for some tracks which is not at the start of the track i.e. 0 seconds, but rather towards the end of the track e.g. -5 seconds.

I’ve tried this on Plex app on iOS, also Plexamp and Plex on iPadOS, the Apple TV and the Web.

If I let the track play to the end and start a new track, then go back to the first track again, it starts again at the end of the first track.

So this is either a widespread player bug or a server side component

Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you have “remember playback position” enabled on the Library settings? You are correct this is an optional server setting.

The setting is under Advanced and is called “Store Track Progress” but that did the trick.
