Plex for PS5 keeps "losing" subtitles, microskips forward and freezes

Hello! I keep getting these issues from the PS5 app.

  1. Multiple times per view, the subtitles stop appearing. Then I have to pause the video, go into subtitles options, turn them off (or choose another subtitle, if present), start again the video, pause it again, go into subtitles, choose the right subtitle again and resume playing.
    This can happen several times.

  2. The video keeps skipping forward from time to time. Sometimes it’s just a fraction of second, sometimes it’s 4-5 seconds.

  3. The video just freezes. If I manually skip forward once, resumes playing. Sometimes, if I stop the video and resume it (I set a 5 seconds rollout), it doesn’t freeze at the same frame as before, sometimes it does and I have to manually skip forward.

I have the same issue with the Subtitles “Disappearing” happens very regularly. So FRUSTRATING.

I have the same problem. Especially with 4K content, even though Direct Stream is listed as the status in the dashboard for video (e.g.: 4K HDR10 (HEVC Main 10)), audio (e.g.: German (AC3 5.1)), and subtitles (e.g.: German Forced (SRT)). If I disable the forced subs, the stuttering and dropouts disappear.
When using the optimize function, the files always become so huge, and they’re created without HDR. That’s why I don’t like using it. Alternatively, using Handbrake to create a version with burned in forced subs every time is also annoying.
