never used to skip on any of my platforms- for 10 seconds at a time every 5 mins or less.
i own a permanent plex account and hate to see it becoming a worse player than vlc.

I’ve seen a couple threads on this, which have both been closed, but the issue has not been resolved.
Anytime I have anything that is H.265, the video just skips forward at various points. jumping back before the skip to see if it will play results in the application skipping forward again at the same spot.

Hello! I keep getting these issues from the PS5 app.
Multiple times per view, the subtitles stop appearing. Then I have to pause the video, go into subtitles options, turn them off (or choose another subtitle, if present), start again the video, pause it again, go into subtitles, choose the right subtitle again and resume playing.

I confirm these issues. I don’t understand why it is happening. When I check the dashboard, Plex reports direct play on video, audio, subtitles, and my PS5 is connected with my NAS over an ethernet network.

Can any of you capture any debug logs to help out the devs? I’m not seeing any in this thread.
how do you do that on console? how does that help if i cant find that feature on console? this comment is not relevant to this issue. its worth getting answers as to why this happens on consoles from the devs.

Complaining or talking in generalities doesn’t really help you get your problems solved. Be sure to provide specific details, including exact client and server plex versions (It DOES matter), what kind of server hardware (gpu/cpu/ram/stor…
