Yes, but couldn’t Plex do something about this (eg, find another developer to continue the work) as this will effect all Samsung TV users. This has been the issue for quite some time, right (Orca’s health)?
Orca was a volunteer and that app he developed is not likely to be picked up by Plex.
His app was designed for older Samsung models (pre 2016 I believe). Newer models have an official app developed by Plex.
Es serie and F serie show new 2.013.
But on H serie, which Is newer, still available 2.012 Only.
Isn t this strange? Start thinking Samsung forgot h serie sonehow…

This is not normal.
On my es 2012 and f 2013 tv the new version was available almost immediately, a couple of weeks from orca announcement.
Seems like h and j series have been totally forgotten…too much time from middle of September…
Anyone have issues where Plex plays a show for 15minutes then stops playing and marks it as watched? It can play on Chrome webclient, chromecast, AppleTV and 2015+ Samsung Plex app fine.

This app is no longer being actively maintained. It is unlikely to see any additional updates (if it does, it will most likely be very sporadic and unannounced in advance).
My best advice for those looking for a working updated Plex app is to get a streaming stick/box such as Roku / Apple TV, etc, and connect it to your TV.
Is there any other method instead of the USB one? I have followed the instructions on my UE55JU6000 model Samsung TV, but i cant see the Plex app in smarthub.
Mine is a UE50JU6900, and it seems to run Tizen. I cannot make Plex 2.013 run either.

Since there seems to have been a major app update for all platforms introducing new features and other plex pass things, will plex be releasing at least one working app for Samsung tizen before they shut the doors so that anyone who owns a Samsung tv will still be able to use their tv app Not 3rd party hardware with plex app?
What the Plex development team should do is rescue that application for users who have a Samsung with Orsay operating system and keep it at least with a minimum of news.
It is not Samsung’s fault that it is not compatible with the new version. They changed the operating system and, therefore, the way to develop applications. Other systems / companies retain the 2 applications for Samsung Orsay and Samsung Tizen.
It cannot be that “programmed obsolescence” takes us ahead of those who bought a new television only 6 years ago.
@Orca as is well known, cannot continue with the development.

I have a 48H6200 and have the version 2.012 of the Plex app installed (I’ve tried updating via online but it always says there aren’t any updates available)
Does anyone know if I can run the 2.013 version via USB while having the 2.012 installed?
