Request is to develop the PLEX App to work on the Samsung Smart Fridge platform. Should be a smaller effort as you already have an app for the Tizen OS noting the fridge is a cut down version.
Why? Many people have Samsung Smart Fridges and could be enjoying PLEX entertainment in the Kitchen. Personally I like to watch food related shows while both cooking and eating in the kitchen, this would improve the usability of this fridge.
(NOTE: I’ve had the suggestions already of gluing a tablet or putting a TV into the Kitchen and this isn’t an option I’m interested in, thank you).
I don’t know. I also have a Samsung fridge but standing in front of it to watch a video is not something I’d probably do. Play music? I guess. Then again I have a Google Home Hub in my kitchen and if I want to watch a cooking video or listen to music or news I do so on that already. I’ve done recipes off of that but that’s really about it.
Tizen is an absolute cluster DUCK and an OS that should be burned to the ground. Samsung doesn’t want to cave and unfortunately they don’t know what’s good for their customers or themselves.
You over paid for a refrigerator. Not every kitchen appliance needs to be “smart”. This is an example.
Rejected by Plex in the OP‘s parallel thread… therefore I’ll also close this one.
Your suggestion is appreciated but that particular use case isn’t on Plex‘ radar.
