Plex for Windows Application Fullscreen will Lag Application Window Movement on Monitor

After playing a video in full screen, once you close/exit the video and try moving a window, from any application, on your monitor, it will lag and will not be responding at the speed of the monitor set. For reference, I have two 144hz monitors. If I play a video on plex and exit, I can move a window on my second monitor, different from where I used plex, and it will be 144hz. But if I move the window to my main where I played plex from, it severely lags as I move it around. It only begins once I play a video in full screen and then stop. It does not affect mouse movement or the UFO refresh rate test on the monitor, only when trying to move an application window around.

Do you have refresh rate matching turned on? This can change the refresh rate of the display. I cannot tell from your logs because you included logs from the server and not from the application.

Damn, my bad. I forgot client side. I would post them now but I just checked and you are right. It’s an issue with having AMD FreeSync Premium turned on with a separate option called “Radeon Enhanced Sync” turned on also. It’s some "alternative vsync mode, " which seems to mess it up if they are both turned on and I play something on plex. It’s not an issue if either is turned on separately and the other is off, only when it’s both lol

Thank you for the help

Sounds like you figured out the issue and thus there’s no longer a need for the logs. Often GPU driver settings have the ability to exclude an app so if there is that’s likely your best route.

I expect it is detecting the creation of a GPU context (you are likely using the default D3D11), and it only outputting a frame at the rate of the media so it syncing the vsync with that.
