Refresh Rate Switching not working - Plex for Windows

Hello,

Wondering if someone can help me get the Refresh Rate Switching option working.
I figure all you need to do is turn it on for it to work but it doesn’t seem to do anything.

I need to get it working so that I can use motion smoothing options on my TV.

I got it working in MPC-BE with MadVR pretty easily but cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it working in Plex. Is there a bug or am I missing something?

Well, I randomly figured out the problem but I wonder if this is how it is intended to work:

You have to start the video from fullscreen mode. You can’t start the video and then make it fullscreen.

That doesn’t seem right.

This is very intentional. An application shouldn’t fiddle with the whole screen, be it changing refresh rates, resolution, hdr, etc, unless it is running fullscreen.

But shouldn’t it be able to switch the refresh rate when you make it fullscreen after starting it from a windowed interface? Or is that not possible?

I could see a lot of people thinking it’s broken in Plex for Windows because of that.
