Plex for windows installer fails

As plex account cannot access securely my NVIDIA shield it prompts to download and install Plex for windows, the installer does not create all the required dll files so plex for windows can’t run

Any ideas???

Edit: should have read your post more carefully…
As for the installer issue… what DLLs is the installer / Plex for Windows complaining about?

nvidia creates the server but there are no links to media on NAS so this is done via https://app.plex.tv/

I did have an old laptop previously as the server and https://app.plex.tv/ accepted insecure link on the same network

Did you already complete the setup of the Shield server / add your libraries or are you stuck with finalizing the setup?
Keep in mind you can only finalize the setup using the local/bundled version of the Plex Web app (http://[SHIELD IP Address]:32400/web)! This should bring up a dialog where you can name your server, link it to your account and create your first libraries – after linking the server to your account you’ll also see it from the hosted version of Plex Web (http://app.plex.tv/desktop).

that was my question i have tried plex for desktop but it will not install correctly

i try to run it but all i get is the missing dll files messages

msvcp140
vcruntime140

Seems your system is missing some MS Visual C++ libraries.
