Plex for Windows portable

Dear Community,

I have an Office-owned Surface Tablet where I do not have Admin rights. I have been using it to watch movies and series with plex, most important is to be able to Sync. I am still using the old Plex app from the Windows Store but it is not working very well anymore.
Older Versions of the Plex Player for Windows could be extracted, copied and used as “portable” versions, but doing this with the later versions creates and error message “VCRUNTIME140_1.dll cannot be found”.

Is there any way to install the latest versions as “portable”? Would it not be an idea for the Plex Team to release an official Portable Version? I am sure that there are many users with computers where they do not have admin rights…

Is there a place where I can download older Versions of Plex for Windows?

Best wishes,

Jorin

Update: After downloading and adding the missing .dll to the extracted Plex folder, the App is running again. But I still would love an official Portable Version of the Plex App, especially because I saw that the Installer for the v3 cannot be extracted manually anymore…

Thank you!
