I’ve been getting frustrated having to manually skip episodes while watching shows on my Xbox. Usually when watching on the desktop app, webui, or iOS app, it will handle these files correctly. For example, S01E01 of looney tunes is a 3-episode file. After the first file (episode 3) ends on the iOS, webui, and desktop app, Plex will skip to episode 4. Viewing that same episode on Xbox however plays episode 2 after e01 ends which just replays the file. I’m assuming this is just an Xbox app issue?

This reads like you’re comparing apples to oranges.
You say what happens on iOS after playing episode 3.
You compare that to what happens on the Xbox after playing episode 2.
I just worded it poorly. The first file in the season contains episode 1-3. After playing the first file in everything but Xbox, it goes to the second file (which starts at episode 4). Doing the same thing on the Xbox (finishing the first file and going to the second file) plays the first file again because it queues up episode 2 instead of episode 4 (episode 2 is the first file, episode 4 is the second file). Like I said, it works perfectly on everything but Xbox. My naming schemes are correct (otherwise iOS, webapp, and the desktop app wouldn’t work). I understand that if I just start plex and play episode 2 (which is on the first file), it will start at episode 1. That’s not an issue. I understand it will do that until I physically separate the episodes.

Just want to confirm it is the auto play that is the issue based on what QA told me. After you watch that first file with 1,2,3 and stop to return to home screen does it mark 1,2 and 3 and watched then put 4 in Continue watching?
Absolutely! So, after marking the entire series as unwatched, after playing the first file (episode 1-3), auto play queues up episode 2. After going back to the menu, episodes 1-3 are marked as watched. Hitting resume starts at episode 4.
