Plex for Xbox One will no longer load - Error - Unexpected error

Hi there,

this has only happened today and was playing fine yesterday evening.
The Xbox One app will no longer connect at all to plex and just shows Error - Unexpected Error.

I have checked the logs and the xbox one is authenticating successfully and there are no errors, it parses all the libraries as it should yet only an error screen is shown on the xbox one.
I have uninstalled the application and reinstalled, removed the single sign on for the xbox one to try and reset it back up and yet its the exact same issue,
All other devices are connected to Plex server with no issue and no other applications on the xbox are experiencing any issues either.

Sample of log file:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

after a complete rebuild of my media server everything is working again. Very very odd given that every other device was working fine.

Hello DDocherty, what do you mean by an entire rebuild of your media server ? I encounter the same issue with my X1 here with the same error like :

All is working fine on other devices.

Thanks for your help, much appreciate!

Hi there.

I rebuilt my windows 10 media box and followed this link to migrate the databases so as not have to rebuild every library:
https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201370363-Move-an-Install-to-Another-System

It may have been possible to uninstall plex fully and re-install and rebuild using that link although I had been meaning to rebuild my machine anyway.

Thanks, i’m under Linux but a removal and a reinstall with a rebuilding of db fixed my issue.

For anyone else that comes across this a few other users were able to fix the error by optimizing their database.

We’re still trying to get more information for the developers, but if it is a database issue the best thing would be a copy of the database before the fix occurred.
