Everything runs smoothly on all other platforms, but on the Xbox One I get the Unexpected Error once I try and access all but one library, but if I get the error on the other libraries the one that did work no longer does. I can browse my friends libraries with no issues, and he has the same issue when he accesses mine but not his.
I have reinstalled the app on the Xbox One, and I am running the latest Plex Plus version of 0.9.12.17.
I have also setup the port manually under the remote access settings and port forwarded (not my first rodeo).
I tried to check the logs, but I cannot find any and when I try to set the debug to verbose it resets to disabled before I get very far.
I have seen several others with this issue in the forums, but rarely is there mention of what type of host system they are running Plex on, and those that found “solutions” seemed to be lucky shots in the dark. One of which is recompiling the libraries. That process took me 12 hours to do so I am hoping to skip it unless absolutely necessary.
Unfortunately, this isn’t something that can be reproduced. Because of that we’ve been trying to gather logs for the developers (Plex Media Server with Xbox Server Logging enabled from the App Settings) to try and see if there is a common factor that is causing this.
It would be the only thing I could think of to try at this point that would make a difference between a library not working and the fix being to recreate the library.
To add some content to the original problem…
PMS Latest Version | XBOX One app
Can access home page of server in the app, shows on deck and recently added and all that… everything. But the problem happens when selecting one of the libraries (i.e. movie, tv shows, photos). The app throws the error. I can play items from those libraries if I find them another way, but selecting a library is where the problem happens. This works fine on my set up and my brother set up, but ChasMann’s server is where the problem happens. I can’t access it from his shared library and he can’t access it from his local library. But this only happens in XBOXone. Works fine on every other platform.
I’m having the same issue after I made a fresh install of my server onto a windows 10 PC from a macbook. I’ve attached my media server log, hoping it can help.
@jmckee My server now connects to the Xbox One after your optimization suggestion, so thanks! Is there any reason why that was a problem with the console?

Sadly, I have no idea (I wouldn’t have thought to try it without @mike4001 suggestion). Optimization tries to speed up the database so it is possible that there may have been too large of a gap inside the database. (just a guess)
I will need to forward this on to the developers to look into as I have no idea why it would cause a failure.
