I use Synology DS218+ and Samsung TV with Plex.
When i watch matroska file with many subtitle (38 .srt subtitles in Matroska file) Plex freezing all time on Samsung TV, on Pc Computer file watching normal without freezing. If i delete all subtitle in video file i can normal playing without freezing on Samsung TV.
My opinion is that the large number of subtitles creates a problem.
How can i fix that on Samsung TV?
Please help.
Samsung limits the number of tracks in a stream (video + audio + subtitles) to a total of 30.
The fix is to remove the unnecessary audio and subtitle tracks using MKVToolNix or similar tools.
Also note that Samsung TVs do not support DTS or TrueHD audio, so it will be transcoded by Plex Media Server to a supported format.
This can also cause problems with video transcoding. Depending on the version of Tizen, transcoded audio + subtitles may result in a video transcode.
Here’s some additional detail:
I solved the problem. If i set in settings, Burn subtitles on Always, video work with subtitles without freezing on Samsung TV. Thanks.
