Lately, I am having a lot of issues with Plex Media Server not finding media on my Synology 1019+. This has been going on for several server versions.
I have been using WebTools-NG to look for files that are on disk but not in Plex.
I am not sure why so many files are not being detected. All are named correctly per guidelines.
One thing I have noticed, is that it seems to happen more frequently on upgraded media. For example if I have a TV recording, then later replace it with a Bluray rip. It will sometimes be shown in plex when the TV Recording is added, but then disappear when I replace the file with the bluray rip with the same filename.
This is not always the case, as new media sometimes does not show in plex as well. This problem is becoming more and more frequent.
Additionally, when I go to my TV or movie list in plex and change to folder view, it will show the folder is empty, even though the files are on disk.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Is there any way to force plex to add a specific file?
