Plex guide duplicating episodes when using xmltv files

I’m having an ongoing issue still with incorrect data in the epg when there is more than one episode of a program

It happens when using an xmltv file to populate the guide - I have checked the data in the xml file and it is correct.

I have the ‘Enhanced Guide’ feature turned off as this was matching lots of TV series as movies.

What seems to be happening is If there are two or more episodes of the same programme it uses the data for the first episode for all the following episodes - ignoring the data in the xmltv file for the remaining episodes

eg. there are 2 episodes of The Simpsons on C4 tonight… my xml has the following data…

The Plex guide is saying that both episodes are the one titled ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much’

Having checked the episodes due on Sky One today too, Plex is showing all of them as being this same episode - my xmltv file gives the data for the correct episodes.

This seems to happen with any programmes that has more than one episode in the guide and it always seems to populate the guide with the data from the first episode that it finds in the xmltv file, regardless of the channel.

Running Plex Server Version 1.13.5.5291
Windows 10

I have figured out this issue I think - My xmltv file did not include and episode number details. With no episode details, Plex is just assuming all episode are the same.

I tried again using the ‘onscreen’ episode system and although my xmltv file then had the details, Plex didn’t recognise them - so I had the same issue.

I then scraped my data from a different source using the ‘xmltv_ns’ episode system - Bingo! all my episodes now show the correct details for each episode.
