I have had dozens of issues with Plex (I’m still just learning this stuff), and this is my latest issue/question…
…I had all my folders linked to my QNAP through the directory pathway using 10001, now that is gone and I had to redo them all with a 10002 pathway. I don’t understand this. What happened? Can I prevent this task in the future?
Thank you.
I’m sorry?
Mounting “Snapshots” of some other external shared folder somewhere?
Pathnames should be direct. as in /share/CACHEDEVx_DATA/Shared_Folder_Name
What have you been using?
Thanks for the reply! Looks like I was using the wrong folders.

Where is the media (in reality) is it on your QNAP or is it coming in from somewhere else ?
Looks like you’re referencing a shared folder on a TS-653-D ?
That works as long as you say up at the higher levels (Usually what you can see at the top in FileStation), you’ll be in good shape.
I mount all my media as /share/SHARED_FOLDER_NAME
That way, I don’t care if the shared folder gets moved.
It’s all my QNAP NAS. Not sure what you mean by up at higher levels.
This is how it’s set up:

Under the 653D-SHARE directory,
Do you have named directories or all those numbered directorys?
If they’re numbered, how did they get numbered ?
I’m confused because I could understand them getting numbered by QuTS but not QTS.
I’m asking because I have sub-directories for “movies”, “music”, “tv”, etc
These are the folders I have set up:
