I have no desire for Live TV. I want to only see things that are on my server. I don’t want to see clutter for things I do not have access to. However, if I try and this section I get no home screen at all. I just get:
Something went wrong
There was an error loading your home screen. Please try again in a few minutes.
Of note I only have this issue on the webUI. When I hide Live TV, I can still see the home screen on my android devices.
+1, have the same issue. More of nuisance than a real issue but should be fixed nonetheless.
Which kind of Live TV are we talking about?
Is it “Live TV & DVR” (that’s the one which is running on your own server and uses a TV tuner device)
or is it “Live TV” (that’s the online media source from plex.tv)?
If neither you, nor any of your managed users wants to use this, disable it under https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/online-media-sources
Try this:
in the web app, go to
Settings - Plex Web - ‘Show Advanced’ - Debug - “RESTORE DEFAULTS”
@OttoKerner the problem is when I disable “Live TV” it makes the Home Screen error out. I know how to disable it, but the problem is the Home Screen not working when it is disabled.

@OttoKerner what exactly is getting reset? It doesn’t specify and I cannot find any documentation. Will it destroy my libraries? Will it force me to update all metadata? Will it remove any custom scanners?
It will only reset the preferences of the web app. None of the server data is affected by this.
@OttoKerner same issue. When I disable Live TV, the home page doesn’t load. If I keep Live TV, the home page loads.

I posted this issue on October 26th and I have yet to get a reply from ANYONE on staff. What do I need to do to get any sort of attention on this?

Also having this issue. I had all the home recommendations turned off for all my libraries so it would just show me Continue Watching, but I found if I enable just one library recommendation it fixes it and you can unpin Live TV (although I now have a library recommendation on my home page that I don’t want, so…)
