Hi! I’ve been using Plex HTPC since a while now and I’ve been very happy so far I get by far the best performance (no lags) when I select “Low Quality (ANGLE Renderer)”. I run both the Plex server and player on the same device, a 10th generation intel NUC (10i7FNK).
However, since the new automatic update to ver. 1.20, every video now looks red (see image attached). Very strange! If I only select “Low Quality”, the problem disappears…but the performance for me is still better when I use the ANGLE renderer and I would like to stick to it.
On a second older Intel NUC of mine I could also confirm the problem.
Can the problem be fixed? I am also attaching a .log file.
Between these versions was an update to MPV. Unfortunately the version of ANGLE we have to use is quite old (Qt forces us to use this ancient version) and even the old MPV needed to be patched to work with it. It appears that the patch needs to be corrected for the newer version of MPV.
Thank you both for your responses! Good to hear that the cause of the problem is known.
I would then also like to temporarily switch to the previous version (1.19), however, I no longer have the corresponding file.
Is it maybe possible to somehow get access to older versions of Plex HTPC or could someone provide me with this version? That would be very nice! As I said, it is only meant to be a temporary solution.
Not sure if you’re running HTPC on Windows like me.
If that is the case, you can find all all previously installed HTPC packages stored under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex HTPC\cache\updates
PS: Can see red tint was solved in latest HTPC 1.21.
Thanks Plex team!
