I installed the Plex app on my amazon fire stick but it cannot pick up my media pc.
All other devices works fine, except the tv.
Do I need to download a different version of the app…??
Are you using the same Plex account as your server? If that server is associated to another account, you can’t see it, even if it’s on the local network.
Same problem here, hard drive died yesterday. Put in new HD download current plex server and now none of my 4 Firesticks can connect, getting the currently unavailable message. I tried clearing data and cache on plex app on firestick and
redoing the connection process and still nothing works.
If you did that, then you now have a new Plex server. The app on the Fire TV is still looking for your previous server. Easy option is to uninstall the app and reinstall, which will start over. This will then only see the new server.
Don’t forget to delete the old server from your authorized devices list under Plex Web.
