I run PLEX on a QNAP NAS at home…have some movies we bought as well as a lot of home made family content. I organise the content into a Multimedia Folder on the NAS and then subfolders
The problem is that the server shows me the wrong icon and even filename in the player for a LOT of the content. For example a holiday clip of our kids gets an icon from one of the movies which we have bought and which sits in another library. When you play the clip it plays the home movie but you have no idea what you are playing until the clip starts
Thoughts please ?
I have tried removing and re-adding the library to PLEX but I still get these bogus icons and titles

Sounds like you have all your media bundled in one library. Have a read of the naming and organisation requirements:
Thanks but I do have my stuff separated by folder in the NAS…all of my Plex content is in a folder called Multimedia thus:

What I do have is a separate folder for each individual movie inside each of the libraries…thus:
But the Player sees this:
It appears you selected a Movie library for your Home Movies, you should set this as an Other Video library, then Plex will not try and match your files against IMDB / TheMovieDB.
