Installed Plex Media Server, everything seemed to go fine but will not launch. Tried launching from Windows start but doesn’t show up in the task tray, Can launch from Firefox but again I can’t add my own media as it didn’t ask for that ever since it seems to have never completed the tasks that it should have after install and lunch.
Sounds like it may not have installed properly. I would suggest uninstalling everything, getting a new download, reinstall. At the end of the install, it should ask if you want to launch.
Uninstalled, cleaned everything. Reinstalled, same outcome. Have tried this too many times to count. Have tried rebooting the computer, wiping the registry as recommended, etc. I may revert to very old version of Plex and see if that works. If it does maybe I can upgrade to the newer version then from within the program running. Exploring all recommendations and options. Thanks everyone.
