PLEX is messing up my Music library organisation

I just started scanning in my FLAC music library but PLEX keeps changing the names of albums and musicians, even splitting some albums up randomly and changing album artwork - it’s very annoying, how do you stop it doing this? I already have it setup how I want it by folder/subfolder so would prefer to browse by that, a lot of my stuff is rare and bootlegged etc so not in databases so any attempt to match stuff is bound to fail so I would prefer that it just didn’t.

Also how do I fix what it has already messed up?

Make the configuration changes detailed in this post: Best way to add album, singles & ep to a Premium Music Library - #8 by OttoKerner

Verify that your music is organised in this folder structure

/Music
   /Artist Name
      /Album Title
         01. Track Artist - Track Title.flac
         02. Track Artist - Track Title.flac

Verify the embedded meta tags of your files:

  1. The content of the meta tags Album Artist and Album Title must be identical in every track of a given album. Which means that ‘Disc 1’ etc don’t belong into the Album Title meta tag. There is a separate meta tag for the disc number.
  2. If you have different Track Artists within the same album, the ‘Album Artist’ meta tag must exist and must contain the same content for all tracks of the album.
  3. If the meta tags Track No. and/or Disc No. are existing, the must exist in all tracks of one album.

After you changed file names, folder names, or meta tags, you must perform the Plex Dance

Thanks but I just want to turn it off and browse by folder. I don’t need Plex telling me how to organise my library, it’s already organised how I want it. I just don’t want it messing that up.
