mine says the Movie DB because my library uses the main agent themovieDB
the main agent is the one of the three across Personal Media, FreeBase, or The MovieDB which have the secondary agents you can change the order of .
The main agent is used to figure out which movie it is. then the secondary are used to get the metadata in the order you set up for it.
in mine the “77” is themoviedb ID for Memento the movie I got that from. look at code in URL https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/77-memento
on IMDB Memento is http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0209144
on yours the movie is tt0118880 on IMDB is Con Air http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118880/
so your library and that file was scanned in using the freebase main agent to figure out what it is and it is getting most metadata from freebase that it can before moving on to the next. so in your case since you have both freebase and themoviedb main agents set up both pretty much the same way the info will not be different when you try a different one.
I would move secondary theMovieDB above freebase then on the grid of movies hit refresh when you are hovering on poster and let its do its thing and see what happens
That did It!!
So does that mean that I can just “refresh” my library and everything would be fixed?
Ok, so I’ve tried refreshing the library and it will do a few 15 movies or so and then stop. I’ve “refresh all” a couple times now. What should I do? I really really don’t want to delete my library.
Trying the refresh again and I looked at the “Status/Alerts” area and I see it download Metadata all the way into the “W’s” of my movies and stop but only a few of those are being “finished” starting with “W” movies. Meaning that movies # through W are downloaded Metadata but only W is finishing (plus a handful of # movies) all the middle ones are stagnant. It seems like it is continuing on Downloading metadata and finishing with movies in W.
The way I got to W was I shut the server down and started back up again. I will let you know if the middle movies ever “finish”.
I’ve let it sit for awhile and it never “finished” items between #-somewhere in the W’s.
so, it downloaded and never finished. Looks like this:
When it starts working is here:
I noticed that when I start the “refresh” it starts to update the database first. Is this normal? and then it goes right into “downloading the metadata” and when it finishes like in the pic above it starts to work normally.
Should I submit another Forum entry for this problem now? My library still isn’t refreshing all of its titles.
Upon trying yet again it decided to only pick up the movies that start with “P-Z” for some reason. but still won’t touch #-O. However I will keep “Refreshing All” in hopes that it will finally work correctly.
I’ve tried:
-Restarting the server
-“Refresh All” multiple times giving it over 8 hours each time (its usually done within 3 min)
-Deleting cache for imdb.com and the moviedb. couldn’t find the freebase one.
-Changed main agent to TheMovieDB from main screen. (I did this before this last time)
sorry you don’t need to make a new thread. sometimes if the server has an issue analyzing a file it might get stuck and not continue on. It is weird that it did the last half but failed on the first half.
This is you hitting Refresh All in the library from the gear menu on top right correct?
Would you mind restarting the server > doing that again > after it “finishes” grab the server, scanner and PMS plugin logs https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417-Plex-Media-Server-Log-Files
Ok, eventful last couple days. I was “refreshing all” as normal and then all of a sudden it started deleting titles (Movies that start with R). and then all of a sudden it freezes up and gives me a blue screen data dump thing and I restart. Go through a scandisk to find out my pc is ok.
Then after everything is good to go I “refresh all” again. It starts adding the movies that were deleted. and it goes through a majority of my movies. Yippee! I thought it was solved. Although there were some that didn’t scan. (“127 hours”, “1408”, “Adaptation” for example).
Also, while in trouble shooting this problem I had switched back the main “agent” to The Movie Database (found in the “Edit Library” option) and now the movies that were added do not have Trailers/Extra’s just like my problem that I experienced I while back and the reason I had to delete my library’s and start all over with Freebase being my main. https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/193988/most-of-my-trailers-and-extra-features-are-missing#latest
From what I can tell its only the movies that were just re-added and I went back into “Edit Library” and changed my main agent back to freebase. Would a refresh fix those? It didn’t work that easy last time I was missing trailers/extras. i’m attaching all of those files you asked for.
I didn’t know exactly which ones so I gave you all of the PMS plugin logs.
oh and these too.
ps. a refresh doesn’t bring trailers back. And check that. A lot of my movies didn’t get refreshed upon looking closer.
I went to one of the movies that was put back on without a trailer. I had checked and the XML was pulling from themoviedb. Which is what I want but missing trailer. I unmatched. Then updated library. Then matched again with “freebase” as my main (but the moviedb being 1st in my Server settings) and I get my trailer back! But then I check XML and I see guid="com.plexapp.agents.imdb://tt1034331?lang=en. but its giving more than 10 actors…and pulling their image thumbnails from tmdb.com so… this confuses me because a lot of movies are looking like this now so, maybe that means that they are all scanned correctly and all I have to do is unmatch/match those “r” movies to get the trailers back?
And then the movie “Ride With The Devil” blows that theory out of the water. it only pulls 9 actors. (which is the same amount on TheMovieDB.org) I’ll wait for you get back with me on this. I just need some confirmation that things are pulling correctly or not now. I’m confusing things I’m sure.
Is it either or? Thank you for being the one to help me on this.
I’m considering this fixed/resolved. Even though it pulls as Freebase it pulls correctly. So, Thank you very much @BigWheel
