Plex is showing editions even though editions field is empty

I have the movie 1917 with 3 different resolutions and I want to split them apart so I have 3 different posters for their resolutions using Kometa. then they are tagged and added to collections

When I split them apart they get listed as different “editions” of one of the movies, even though the file name does not contain an edition tag, and the movie (when i click edit) does not have any data in the edition field. It is happening to multiple movies I split apart even though they are not separate editions.

Is this expected behavior?
