I’ve been using Plex for years, and I’m fairly certian that I follow all best practices for my shows. (naming, storage, etc)
However, I recently added the origianl Transformers series from 1984, but for what ever reason, when Plex tries to auto-match, or if I manually search, the original 1984 show does not show up.
I have almost 500 TV shows in my library, and in that, I have never come across this issue.
Anyone have any ideas?
I did read another post where there were recent issues with Plex’s TVDB proxy site. I just tested this series and did get at match. I used standard folder structure and naming. e.g.
Videos\TV Shows\Transformers\Season 01\Transformers S01E01.mp4

That’s exactly how my shows are named as well:
Z:\TV Shows\Transformers\Season 1\Transformers - S01E01 - More Than Meets The Eye (1).mkv
And yet, I can’t find the right show. Is there a way I can match it via TheTVDB’s show ID?

Maybe the issue with the TVDB is only affecting some. Here is the link I read earlier.

Hmm, the last message was a report that the proxy was back up. I tested it myself and it does seem to be up and running.
[Edit]
I guess this was the issue, because just now I refreshed the Auto-Match, and Viola!!

Thanks for your help
