I have the Hauppauge 955q (Xbox One Tuner) and when I use NextPVR or the Hauppauge WinTV8 software I am able to receive and watch more channels (88 via ClearQAM) through that software, but on Plex I only receive 55 possible channels, is this a settings thing or an encoder limitation that Plex does not yet support? It would be nice to have all the channels, particularly ESPN. Are there any actions I can take to resolve this such as using NextPVR as a network cable box or anything tweakable within Plex?
Similar question as my Win TV Dual HD tuner can pick up more than the channels that are displayed after a channel scan. my list stops at OTA channel 48.4 n Chicago and I need channel 50.1 to watch/record The Simpsons. I uninstalled the WinTV 8 app, which has conflicts with the Plex “tuner”. but after removing the app, I still do not see channel 50.1 in Plex, but I know it works bc before I deleted the Win TV 8 app, I was able to view the channel (and the Simpsons).
Is there a limit on the number of channels captured in Plex?
something changed today, I deleted and then re-installed my DVR/Tuner and Plex recognized 59 channels including those above channel 48.1
