Hauppaug Dual HD Tuner.

It says you support the Hauppague Dual-HD tuner, it receives both ATSC and Clear QAM,
It works great with WinTV 8.5 and also using the remote Extend.
I removed WinTV since PLEX says they support that tuner. And setup my DVR
scanned all the channels, sure nuff it found 123 channels on digital cable.
But would only allow me to see 4 channels. Where WinTV 8.5 allows me to see approx 30
channels. Plex will not even receive the channels that it says it can receive, it does the
error timeout that channel is not responding.

Any Help or suggestions.

Not sure if this helps, but I have a Hauppauge WinTV dualHD on a Windows 7 machine. I installed WinTV 8 and never upgraded to 8.5. I installed Plex server. Both Plex and WinTV see 45 OTA channels. I can tune all channels with both Plex web player and WinTV. I never uninstalled WinTV.

Yeah, thanks for the link, they are having the same problem as I am! Works with one software but not this one, so I have also decided that it is not the DualHD tuner as the problem. Something in Plex isnt coded and will not work with it.

I have not tried the OTA, just the cable qam settings. Following both thread now! Thanks

Ok been talking with Hauppauge and we have determined that Plex does not support Clear QAM if it won’t work with the Dual HD tuner…
