Plex Issues When Playing on Roku

I have a Plex Server running on a Western Digital MyCloud Home network drive. I’m using the drive’s built-in Plex server.
Lately when I attempt to watch a movie on my TV’s built-in Roku the playback will stop with an error about not being able to find the file and usually this causes the server to go offline.
I would assume the problem is with the drive but the weird thing is that when I play videos from the the exact same server but on my Apple TV 4K it doesn’t happen.
I’ve tried it with files encoded as MP4 and also as MKV. Same issue. It used to work fine no matter what platform I was using to watch.

How old is your TV?

I got the TV in October of 2019. It’s a 2019 TCL 5 Series TV.

Have you tried removing the Plex channel and re-adding it?

I tried that today. Started watching a movie that was only 720p and within a couple of minutes it stopped and I got the error. This was on the TCL TV’s Roku.
The error said something about not being to locate the file.

Do you have a streaming stick of any kind you can throw in there and see if the issue is your player?

I have an Apple TV 4K and a Fire TV Stick 4K.
I don’t have the problem with the Apple TV. I will try it on the Fire Stick.
