Plex Keeps Asking for Pin In Web and App Consoles

Ever since I updated yesterday Plex has been asking me repeatedly and obnoxiously for a pin every single time I access anything. I’ve never even seen it ask for a pin until now but from some googling I see that others have seen this years and years ago long before yesterday, the literal first time I’d ever seen it myself. I’ve been using Plex since 2017 pretty much every day. How this never came up before is beyond me but now it’s a problem. How do I disable this? It happens in the server web page, it asks what user I am which is dumb because I’m the only user. It happens in the Apple TV app repeatedly even when browsing from one show to the next. I just want to disable it.

If you’re the only user (e.g .no managed users under your account)… you should be able to simply go to the Users & Sharing settings, hover over your account and remove that pin (Edit Pin > Remove Pin).

If you have set a PIN, Plex will ask you for it whenever you open this particular app. Unless that app supports some “automatic login” feature (see “Automatically Sign In” in the Settings of Apple TV, Android, Android TV, Xbox One, PS4, Plex Media Player)
