Plex keeps asking to setup media server on nvidia shield

Just factory reset my Nvidia Shield and am trying to setup Plex again. For some reason every time I reset the shield tv and try to get back into the Plex app, it tells me that i have to setup the media server again. I get the screen that says “You have a Plex Media Server on this device” Then I have to go through the initial setup process again. This keeps happening.

I fixed it. I had to uninstall updates to both the plex app and media server. Then I restarted, started plex, setup the media server, then installed the updates again. It’s working now.
