Hello Everyone !. I don’t know why but out of nowhere my plex direct play streams have started to buffer for no good reason. Plex gives the popup that the connection to the server is slow which am pretty sure is not the case for the following reasons. But before I do that here are a few things I would like to mention before I go any further. My Mi box S connects to my router on a 2.4ghz connection and my windows server is connected via Ethernet.
Now the reason I am sure why my connection setup isn’t a problem is because I have streamed on this exact same setup before and it used to work flawlessly and neither am have I changed the location of my WiFi Router or the mi box s so we can’t blame a weak WiFi signal that may have resulted due to change in location of the mi box. Furthermore, I am direct playing my content so there is no transcoding bottleneck here either. And when the stream is buffering I notice that my server isn’t sending any data on Task manager’s Network monitor.
For further context, I was trying to stream a 1080p H.264 Video file.
So at this point, I am lost and don’t know what to do about it. Any help regarding this issue would be highly appreciated !.
