Server Version#:newest one just updated tonight
Player Version#:newest alsoPlex Media Server Logs_2019-11-07_23-21-23.zip (1.0 MB) Plex Media Server Databases_2019-11-07_23-21-43.zip (10.6 MB)

i am stumped beyond belief. i have had no problems for almost 1 year. the machine is dedicated to plex so there is no random software and no malware or anything that i can see.
please advise

Don’t run the Beta.

Uninstall, reinstall the previous version.

Agree with the other poster. A lot of us have been having issues since version 1966 with it crashing. You can either turn off hardware transcoding or revert back to an earlier version such as 1944 (which is the public version). See post - Plex Version 1.18.1.1966 keeps crashing

I really hope someone on the plex team is reviewing this issue.

Thank you guys for the help and info. So last night i was so stressed out about this closing and opening thing. I have version 1.18.2.2015
and I changed two settings. 1. Make my CPU hurt…before i had it on auto.
2. i unchecked make controller discoverable on L2 network. I have a unifi system.
Now I am not giving advice or even know more than anyone in here but. I am running without problems after those changes 5 movies on the server itself and other computers, remote and local to check and cant get the server to shut off like it was the last few weeks. I will keep checking this weekend. I was ready to downgrade the Plex version but so far…fingers crossed.

just so i dont screw something up in the future how do i uninstall properly and reinstall? i know i use the uninstall in windows 10 but do i need to save any settings or when i reinstall they will all be gone? I dont want to start and then i cant get it going when i reinstall.
thanks for the help!

Uninstalling through the windows app utility will remove the program but leave your registry settings, media and database.

You’re running a beta version; either roll back (see above your posts) or disable hardware transcoding.

The beta version was release 2 days ago and it’s unlikely that there will be an update over the weekend.
