System OS: Win11
Plex keeps disconnecting from PMS on LG native app. I can watch Plex all day with no issues. If I switch to TV or power off and later back on, Plex is always disconnected - can’t connect to Media Server. I’ve done everything I can think. Deleting and reinstalling the app doesn’t work. I get better speeds over Ethernet, which is why I don’t want to use a 3rd party device. The ONLY solution has been to completely reboot the system. This is beyond frustrating! I’ve stopped and restarted the program and services on the system, no change - only a system reboot. Reddit is f’d - fanboys and “spend more money on 3rd party devices”. Really hoping for some serious help here.
I’ve just gone through the extreme hassle of unsuccessfully trying to move the PMS folder to a different drive, and now I’m freaking with this. There is never an issue with the FireStick, but as I did, there are bandwidth limitations there (lots of buffering). Feel like I’m losing my mind over this.
It just did it again! Working fine after I rebooted the system. I switched to watching TV for a bit, and now again it will not connect to the PMS!
SOMEONE, PLEASE provide some solutions!!! Why is that so much to ask?!
It seems that this is an exceedingly common issue - and it receives VERY few responses. Not even a “we’re unable to replicate the problem” response. Which says one of two things - either Plex CAN’T fix the problem, or Plex doesn’t CARE about the problem. Either is unacceptable.
I have no issues like you with an LG OLED77G48LW
Just once a day, mysteriously the app disconnects for a few seconds. But it reconnects fast and resumes the playing media
But there are not really updates to the LG app

Last update was September 2024! It wasn’t until a couple of updates ago that I started having problems - it was rock solid before then. My issue is that Plex refuses to even respond to the issues. Search the forum and see how many complaints there are!
The LG App overall has a very low update frequency after 2024, thats why I asked you to like (heart) my linked post 
Does your server have a static local ip? What you describe can happen if you don’t have a static ip and it changes between viewings.
Here’s the deal PLEX DEVS - the last LG App was released in Sept of 2024! Things have been working fine since then - until RECENTLY!
That means something YOU did to the Media Server software SCREWED THINGS UP!!!
There’s no two ways about it! Be adults and take RESPONSIBILITY!!!
Yes, I have a static IP. Purposely done.
Please note my last post. Even though a Mod here changed the tag from PLEX MEDIA SERVER to Player, the issue IS with the PMS software! They’re is NO WAY around it. Simple as that.
