Plex libraries not showing on Fire Stick

Plex is working fine on fire TV box, LG TV but on 2 tv’s with plex app loaded on firestick, all our libraries have disppeared

Firstly fire sticks are wifi - Hardwired is Always the best option .

While firesticks can work well they cost $50 or less .Remember that …

So you have a cheap player connected by WIFI.
IMO there is your problem…

Libraries not populating on home page is a known bug (saw it mentioned in another post).

I reset the home page defaults and the libraries populated. Move to Home, select three dots to left, then reset to default. I did that and all the libraries appeared. You can then move/unpin/etc individual libraries.

Yep. This has nothing to do with being on WiFi. Plex works just fine on WiFi. Resetting the libraries usually fixes it.

Hi, how do you reset the libraries - where do you find the button to reset.

We’ve tried the three dots to the left but nothing happens. how do you unpin etc the individual libraries

Select the three dots to the left of each library. You’ll see options to unpin, reorder, etc.

You can also click your username at the top, and should have an option to “reset customization” or similar. You can usually pick your preferred server and libraries from there. Sometimes I’ve had to hit Back at the first window to change the server.

Apologies on no specifics beyond that, I’m not in front of a Plex screen right now.

Hardwired will always be more reliable than wifi.
If wifi is working for you then great.
Your time will come :stuck_out_tongue:

Not sure what you’re talking about. I use wired everywhere.

You did say this ? Correct?

Congratulations on taking @Cafe_Diem comment completely out of context.

@Xhaka That comment was a waste of everyone’s time

And I think coming back 30 days later to post what you did was a complete waste of everyone’s time.

I’ve set up my WiFi to be just as reliable as being hardwired. In any case, hardwired or not, it had nothing to do with the issue in this thread or the solution.

Congratulations .
You must be very proud

How childish !

Now can i get some serious help? My libraries won’t load on my Firestick on one TV but worked great on another. I DID by mistake hit the customization command… after that the libraries said bye bye and all I have id Plex’s Movie & TV list and I can’t get MY libraries to come back. I don’t see a reset command anywhere!
.

I have the exact same issue… Would love to get the answer too…

what version number are you running?

Should be a fix for this coming in 7.25.3 which is waiting on Amazon approval.

I was having the same problem and got mine to work. I do not know if it worked due to signing out and back in or the setting change i made but heres exactly what I did.

Go to your account on the plex app>settings>Video Quality> Home Streaming + Remote Streaming> Maximum

Go to your account on the plex app>settings>advanced>Allow Insecure Connection>On Same Network

I then signed out of my account, signed back into my account, and my libraries were then listed. Not sure why exactly it works now all i can do is speculate but this is the exact steps i did and the order in which I did them. I wish i could be of more help.
