Plex lifetime pass showing ads now?

dafuq? i have a lifetime pass. why am i seeing 3 ads before i can watch a video? any time i see an ad i just go torrent the video, so i’m not sure what it’s supposed to acccomplish.

If you are watching media on your (or someone else’s) server, then no, Plex does NOT interject ads in front of the content. Plex only displays ads on their own - free - online streaming offerings. Plex Pass does not let you watch this online streaming content without ads.

So, now we need to find out if you are referring to the online streaming content, or content from your own server. Plex’s own content, if pinned to your left-hand menu, will be called Movies & Shows. If you use their online Live-TV offerings, then the Live TV & DVR menu Pin will rename to Live TV and can include online Plex channels, which will have ads.

NOTE: Be aware that if you have Plex’s online content pinned to the left-hand menu, it is VERY common to accidentally watch Plex’s ad-based copy of the content if you resume watching using the “Continue Watching” section of your Home. The reason for that has been discussed previously in this forum, and I can mention why if you want to know.

you know what? u rite. i was tricked into streaming from a garbage server instead of my network of clean individuals.

I heard this guy is a big shot engineer, though!
