Plex locks up at startup

After upgrading the server on my synology ds218J running DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 3 my plex server locks up the initial screen shows up and then a window appears regarding upgrading the library to use plex for metadata. I am unable to click out the window, lick the not now button or the upgrade button. it is just frozen at that point. I can ass the media via the app on my Roku TV but this will not all =ow me to manage the database. below is the screen shot of what I see.

Any ideas what is going on and how to fix this

Hit the escape key. There’s a another window that is getting in the way.
