I can’t believe devs still didn’t fix this problem since 2017… But, hey, they are busy with adding worthless features like podcasts, tidals and god knows what, that no one asked for…
It’s like a selling factory faulty products and instead of fixing it asap, company decides to make new products completely unrelated that no one asked.
So we got bug that hasn’t been fixed in two years and we’re talking about bug that affects hundreds and maybe thousands of users… Unbelievable!
Instead of white knightning and posting your useless reply, you should be protesting as well. I shouldn’t be digging on forums and telling devs to do their job to fix their software or even downloading some things. People shouldn’t be bothered with such things. It’s devs job. Devs should be fixing such bugs officially and releasing new version with fixed bugs. People want to use software to relax and watch their movies in Plex after work, not to register on some forum and do some technical things, that some people don’t even care. Instead telling devs to focus on existing bugs, you attack protesting users. You’re even worse than those devs and I have every right to be upset. When software is full of bugs and devs instead of fixing those bugs focus to make worthless features no one asked, speaks how immature and crappy is this company.
And bug that exists for 2 freaking years and has not been fixed is damn shame of a company.
My “useless” answer purpose was also to point the fact that this issue solution is going to be released, so it is not the best time to blame the devs about the inaction.
You look so angry against Plex that I suggest you to move to another software. And so, to another community. Please do it…
I am starting to have this issue too
I play the movies by streaming in Chromecast from my Android plex app
Subtitles disappear for a period of time and than appear again…and so on.
I observed that if I do the rewind using the app 10s function goes back to normal for a period of time
A month ago was no issue
i figured out what the problem was about losing subtitle when playing you have to go to settings video then put burn subtitles on always normally it’s on automaticly if you change it to always pres safe button the subtitles wil not disapear anymore
ye i know but i have alot of tv shows movies etc not going to rescan evrything again just changing the setting from burnsubtitle to always from automaticly isn’t a big deal
This issue is fixed in the latest Plex Media Server 1.18.0.1846 release. Please upgrade to enjoy tale advantage of the fix, and a host of other fixes and features.
