Where is download link? I click on your link and it takes me to another forum thread. I can’t see download link. Thought maybe at least I would find beta version on home page of plex website, but no. Why everything is so complicated here?
You clicked on the wrong thread. The one to 1.18.0 is the official beta build, which is only available to Plex Pass users. Go up a few more threads, that will link to another thread with the preview version which you can install manually.
I still dont get why BETA is available just to the Plex Pass users…this software should test everybody not just users that are paying
its kinda funny approach.
It is a benefit of having a Plex Pass.
Its not benefit to test preview software believe me…but I have just asked. I dont want to complain.
So when this beta will be out for public ?
Are you kidding me? So to download the version where dev said he finally fixed this famous bug, I need to be subscriber, basically paying money to the company so I can have version without bug? This is so low… Haven’t seen such absurdity with any other company. Horrible!
You are getting this software for free, and you don’t have to be a subsbriber to get the fix. It’s still in beta, which means there could be other unknown errors. The subscribers gets access to the beta versions. After a short while, after some testing, it’s released to the public.
I agree it took too long to fix it, but there’s no need to act like a entitled brat.
I don’t even know who are worse, this company or their apologists like you…
Beta releases are used to test fixes. There could be other side effects of the fix so we release it to the PP community first to help test things. Once things are stable, this then gets released to the public.
If you don’t want to wait, you can use the forum preview version from the earlier post. That one does not require a Plex Pass.
Can you read what did you wrote now ? 
Untested versions should be released to public first, tested and stable version should be released to users that pay for STABLE release without problems. Its kinda funny approach as I said.
This way plex is full of bugs…because you are releasing betas to just a small circle of people. Testing is hardcore process and need more people and feedbacks.

That is not how Beta programs work.
Sure, as I have been born yesterday. Windows 10 hit the wall with this approach. So everybody is now trying to do the same = release broken software and try to fix it in about 3 years if at all…
PMS 1.18.0 is now available to all users. It includes the subtitle fixes mentioned in this thread.

Sometimes Plex lags (frame freezes for a few seconds) during the video playback. It happened several times already. I started noticing this bug few weeks ago.

Yesterday another glitch happened. I tried to rewind video back and it didn’t, just this circle was bouncing and it didn’t do anything, even if I clicked buttons. I fixed it by unplugging and replugging TV. But this happened only once. The first bug I mentioned, happened in 3 movies already.
So dont celebrate early, I have upgraded PMS to 1.18.0.
Report:
- On webplayer, now everything works correctly. Burn subtitles to movie set to automatic, works like a charm.
- Now I sit in front of my Samsung smart TV 2017 and run Plex, Burn subtitles option set to AUTOMATIC, started a movie and voila, subtitles nowhere to find, switched back to Burn subtitles ALWAYS and then it works correctly, Only image format does not work either.
Is it problem with TV app or PMS ?
And back to Ditendra post: all 2 problems he mentioned is happening on my tv too. About 3-4 updates back it wasn’t happening. Now its really annoying to see how your movie stutters.
As I said…its too early to celebrate.
@RollingSphere and @Dean09199 Please create a new forum topic about your issues with details about your server, clients, PMS logs that cover the time of the issue occurring etc
The original issue from this thread is now solved in 1.18.0. so Any similar issues or new issues should be raised as a new thread
