My Plex is on latest version as of writing this I can’t put exact details till I’m back at my PC however and I hope this can be added as I find it a little annoying.
If I use my PC to host my server and plex Use Desktop Media App I hope that we can just play the files from the storage even if server is running or not.
I like watching everything on the Plex App but there’s a few annoying things about it like if my server isn’t running I can’t use it to watch my content.
Also don’t know if it’s a bug or not but it’s also another annoying thing.
My PC uses a S/PDIF to a soundbar which supports Atmos etc…
If I change audio settings of Plex Media App from Basic to S/PDIF some content works and a lot of stuff doesn’t want to play at all unsure why this is however I’ve noticed when on Basic my Soundbar uses PCM and if I goto S/PDIF and use Dolby Digital pass through my Soundbar will use Dolby but at the cost of a lot of my media becomes broken and won’t work at all it buffers but doesn’t play.
(I will update this post in morning or later today I hope a member of developer can look into this).
