Plex Media Player cannot update or uninstall/repair

I would really appreciate any help on my problem.
When I open Plex Media Player it prompts me to update to version 2.32.0.973. I click install now, and it starts but then always errors and closes about 1/3 of the way through. I can still use the media player, but I just get prompted to update every time I open it.

I tried uninstalling/repairing the program and it also errors, here is the log:

download the setup exe
install it

So, that worked for uninstalling plex media player!
Bt I still cannot uninstall or update plex media server even after running that tool.

So now I tried downloading a fresh install of plex media player and it fails :frowning:

Take a look into your Apps control panel.
Look for “Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 (x64)” and deinstall it.
Then reboot the computer and try again to install PMP:
