Plex Media Player for Windows - Can't access 'Settings' offline

Server Version#: v1.16.3.1433-359b06978-x86
Player Version#: v2.38.0.999-e14e4d74

For the last couple of versions of Plex Media Player, the settings section is unavailable in an offline mode. I take my laptop and a portable drive to my cottage (which has no internet) in order to enjoy a movie on Friday night pizza and movie night or sometimes on rainy days. I used to be able to access the settings section in previous versions in order to change the audio settings from say 5.1 (for when I am home and connected to my main server) to 2.0 (for when I’m at the cottage connected through the ‘laptop server’ with a portable drive) because I don’t have a surround setup at cottage. Now, that is not possible. What gives? I can’t even use the ESC key in order to exit the player. I have to close it through the taskbar with a right click. Also, sometimes it won’t even display the content of my laptop server… it just sits there and spins and spins. I’m going to try and find an older version of the player to get things back to they once were until this issue can be fixed.
