I have a Samsung TV and a monitor hooked up to my Windows 10 computer. Whenever I open Plex (version Version 3.39.5) these days the app opens off both screens where I can’t reach it at all. Fortunately, I use DisplayFusion, which allows me to right click the program in the taskbar, and hit “move to next screen” so that I can actually see and use the application. In spite of this workaround, I’d really like a fix so that app opens on at least one of my monitors. I have a multiple monitor set up on another computer, and have never had the same issue. Both machines are running the latest Plex app and Windows 10.
I’m in the exact same situation, samsung TV on windows 10. Very annoying behavior.
I’m in the same boat. I’ve been having transcoding and direct play issues with the Win10 Store App so I was hoping this would be a better experience. Downloaded, launches and now it’s sitting in a window offscreen. I tried \ with no luck.
NOTE: I do have my DPI scaling set to 175%. Maybe that is the cause?
I have the same issue as well! Dual Samsung monitors running Nvidia GTX 1080. Keeps opening off the second screen like there is a 3rd!
I can only tell you a workaround for Windows:
- Make sure the app has ‘focus’. (if you are unsure about this, simply close and restart it)
- Now, press and hold down the ‘Windows’ and ‘Shift’ keys
- now tap (maybe repeatedly) on ← or → cursor key to switch the app to a different screen

You’re a life saver! This let me work around this problem, but I’m surprised this is still an issue. It’s been a year and I’ve seen a bunch of topics relating to this.
