Plex Media Player : Windows Store Version vs Version downloaded from Plex web site

I decided to try the latest version of Media Player from Windows Store.
Not sure what its version number might be.
But I found that its behaviour is different from the Media Player downloaded from the Plex web site.
For example; I cannot easily see unwatched or unplayed TV shows or Movies.

They are two completely different applications. And from what I understand the windows app has not been updated in a very long time. In fact it’s probably safe to say it’s no longer being maintained.
