Plex Media Scanner fails on photos

Since i have got some issues with some thumbnails on an older Plex app for iOS 3.x someone recommended me to regenerate the thumbnails. Upgrading Plex for iOS to 4.x fixed the thumbnails issue but meanwhile i have figured out that the Plex Media Scanner has some issues on my servers.

I have been using Plex Media Server on OSX and since i was more comfortable with Linux I have migrated the database and all the Plex Folder including the conversion from plist to XML to an Ubuntu Box. Worked as expected, no issues, no errors in the log files. Changed the hardware also. After the migration I have tried to run PMS and strangely i had the same issues.

/usr/lib/plexmediaserver/Plex\ Media\ Scanner --analyze --force --section 16

The command runs for a while, sometimes a few files sometimes more (max 100 lets say) but my photo section contains 20000+

It’s been a while, any news regarding the crash log that i have sent you?

I apologize but I lost track of this thread. Since there have been many updates to PMS since the last post, can you make sure you are using the newest version of PMS 0.9.16.6. Then provide me a new server log, scanner log, and crash log if you are still seeing this problem. Thanks.

In deed, things changed between plex 1.3.0 and 1.5.0. Now it seems to work just fine, when i’m analysing the library it does not throw any error messages. Thanks for your work.
