Plex Media Scanner: Update Library takes a long while even when no new media added

Hello,

Usually, updating a movies library with no changes in it, was taking around 5 seconds with an older version of PMS (can’t recall the version though).
Now, if I have more than say half an hour to update a library, even if the library has no new media added in it can take more than 3 minutes (350 movies) to update.
Re-updating the library right after a previous update is again very fast (around 5 seconds).

From the Plex Media Scanner log I observe that HTTP requests in the good scenario take around 18ms to complete, while in the bad scenario HTTP request take more than 250ms to complete.

  • Windows 10, current PMS version 1.5.4.3596.
  • My settings in Library section of PMS: “Run a partial scan when changes are detected” is ticked; everything else is unticked and no thumbnails of any kind is configured in this section.
  • My settings in Scheduled Tasks section of PMS: Nothing is ticked.
