Plex Media-Server-0.9.1606 NOT WORKiNG

I have a Nexus player and a android phone. I recently purchased plex for my mobile not the pass which was meant to enable me to stream movies to my android phone for a lifetime and unlock the 1min trial. After Plex automatically updated none of my content is found on nexus player or android phone. Ive tried everything signing in and out uninstalling. Nexus player is requesting server version 0.9.17 which requires a pass to download, everything was working fine on my nexus player but now nothing on either device, if i removed the device from plex it and resign in on either my phone of nexus player it sees the media but then crashes and says no media found. Some assistance would be appriciated. thanks

Some quick questions. After the latest Plex update do I need a pass to stream to the nexus player?

Do I need a pass to connect to my android phone which I just activated and purchased?

Will this happen every time there is an update?

Finally … All my devices and server was working perfect before this update. Whats going on?

Please can you be specific. Which Plex update ? Plex Media Server ? Plex for Android App ? and the update from what version to what version? Plex Media Server 0.9.16.6 has been on general release for 6 weeks.

Screenshot of any reference to 0.9.17 would be useful to have. Also you could get the device log and Plex Media Server.log (but need to enable debug logging first on the server)

Are you able to access your Plex Media Server libraries through Plex Web in a browser ?
eg http://localhost:32400/web on the server itself

See these support pages for diagnostics

https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/200250417-Plex-Media-Server-Log-Files
The main log file is Plex Media Server.log. Note the advice to restart the server

Android Device:

Use Email Device Logs to email to you and then attach with the screenshot and server log

Thanks for the swift reply. I was able to resolve my issue my uninstalling Plex completely as mentioned here.

https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/201941078-Uninstall-Plex-Media-Server

Removing the registry entry in windows solved my issue. However I believe it was plexs silent update which killed my media server setup and somehow corrupted my registry. I’ve disabled automatic updated. Thanks

Thanks for feedback. Do you have any Plex Media Server.log / Plex Media Server.n.log files covering the auto update time?
