Is it me or is plex for android broken from resent update

App seems to be broken. I start watching my content and stop it when j try to resume it will not play. Tried changing content to see if it was that particular video and it is not. I have to uninstall the app and reinstall it to get it to work. But it repeats all over again. Tried to force stop app and restart but still does not work unless I reinstall

Yep , I have a 2017 and 2015 pro and a 2017 16gb and none will start after clicking to watch a show .
I get nothing , i get rotating icons and once I got to the show and then back to desktop screen

They all have the new update - and yep stupid me in believing plex could get it right (what apparently is a major update) the first time.

Ya this update just messed plex up wish there was a way to role back the update…

I have tried rolling back with the uninstall update option ( on Shield’s i.e.) (2017 16gb) and now on 5.6.1.505 and now that doesn’t work.

My other shield (2017 pro) is now on 7.0.2.5441

Now we wait for Plex to fix it - on previous form that could be weeks or even years!

Same here. Managed to roll back to latest public release.

Razvan how did you roll back the update ?

It is not the app, but the Plex Media Server version that is causing this.
I rolled back the PMS version.

Yep for me going back to PlexMediaServer_1.13.0.5023-31d3c0c65_x86_64.qpkg
For the qnap is working …

Thanks

will give it a try so you think its the server update not the app update on android ?

Going back to this one worked for me - 1.13.1.5063

@spikemixture haven’t tried the server rollback but was able to change the app update by rolling back to an older apk update I found and now I’m able to use the app without it not playing and also turned off auto update so the android app wont update to current version. But will possible roll back the server update as well…

I did as you did.
I can say that I manually update(download the newest apk) from Plex to my phone and try each one; then I may rollback at anytime as the apk’s reside on me phone.

Version 7.0.3(released this morning) seems to work a treat.
