Good day all. I have been trying to get the server to work correctly or at all. I have looked for an answer but have not found a solution.
I had a much older version of PMS on my machine in the past. There is no icon in the systray for the server. If I go to programs to start the server, nothing happens, no round server icon is shown anywhere on my desktop. The app is square with the same arrow and it is in the hidden icons listing and does open the webpage, I click on +Your Media and I am informed I need to Get Plex Media Server.
I have multiple server programs on my machine. AVS, Play On Media Mall, VLC, Windows DLNA and CyberLink Power DVD.
I suspect one of the other servers apps are grabbing the port necessary for PMS to work, but maybe not I have uninstalled PMS, rebooted pc, installed PMS, rebooted pc. looked for logs in RegEdit, logs in the Windows logs, but do not find anything. I had in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Plex, Inc.\Plex Media Server OldestPreviousVersion a version number but I deleted it and now it says I have legacy there.
Maybe I should uninstall all the other apps to see if it will work then?

Assuming your Plex Media Server is running, open http://127.0.0.1:32400/web in a browser on the same machine.
If Plex is indeed not starting at all, you might want to follow this guide to do a full uninstall:
